Stop at Batubulan village, famed for its stone statues and sculptures. While there, watch the lively Barong and Kris dance, a piece of Balinese mythology with ornate costumes, traditional dancing, and unique musical instruments.

Barong is probably the most well known dance. It is also another story telling dance, narrating the fight between good and evil. This dance is the classic example of Balinese way of acting out mythology, resulting in myth and history being blended into one reality.

The story goes that Rangda, the mother of Erlangga, the King of Bali in the tenth century, was condemned by Erlangga's father because she practiced black magic. After she became a widow, she summoned all the evil spirits in the jungle, the leaks and the demons, to come after Erlangga.

A fight occurred, but she and her black magic troops were too strong that Erlangga had to ask for the help of Barong. Barong came with Erlangga's soldiers, and fight ensued.

Rangda casted a spell that made Erlangga soldiers all wanted to kill themselves, pointing their poisoned keris into their own stomachs and chests. Barong casted a spell that turned their body resistant to the sharp keris. At the end, Barong won, and Rangda ran away.

Besides watching playful monkeys in their natural habitat, swinging through canopies, lazing along pathways or feeding on bananas, the site offers cool walks along paved pathways through a leafy nutmeg forest. Next to Tegallalang Rice Terrace in Ubud is famous for its beautiful scenes of rice paddies involving the subak (traditional Balinese cooperative irrigation system), which according to history, was passed down by a revered holy man named Rsi Markandeya in the eighth century.

Tegallalang forms the three most splendid terraced landscapes in Ubud's shared region, with the others being in the villages of Pejeng and Campuhan. The Tegallalang rice terraces alone offers a scenic outlook that spreads down before you and away to the rice paddies on the slopes across the valley.

Get a behind-the-scenes look at the roasting process, especially Coffee Luwak which is mainly produced in the Indonesian Archipelago. This coffee is made from the beans of coffee berries which have been eaten by Luwak the Asian Palm Civet (Paradoxurus hermaphroditus) and other related civets, then passed through its digestive tract.

Continue trip to Tirta Empul Temple that located in the village of Manukaya, Tampaksiring. The site serves as a legendary setting of a traditional tale about good versus evil. It is also a national cultural heritage site.

The complex, built circa 960 AD, is also a silent witness to the old Balinese kingdom years, particularly at the time of the Warmadewa Dynasty. This temple has spring water that being used as holy water for various religious ceremony for Hindu people.

Next, we will takes you into the highlands of Kintamani volcano, is a name of countryside located in the hill and the beautiful panorama surround it. We can see beautiful panorama from Kintamani to overview the active volcano of Mount Baturand wide Lake of Batur in a valley.

Starting from the main gate, the second gate (middle) to the main court, all full of carvings typical of Buleleng with the shape of the vine and flowers. Almost no part of the temple was spared from carving, so these carving makes it eye-catching.
