Kanto Lampo Waterfall Address & Directions
Kanto Lampo Waterfall located in the Kelod Kangin hamlet, Beng village in Gianyar, Bali. It takes approximately 1 to 1.5 hours drive from Denpasar Ngurah Rai International Airport.
You can reach it in less than an hour's drive from Ubud. It is easy to reach the waterfall from the village, and the terrain is gentle enough for even novice hikers.
How to Get to Kanto Lampo Waterfall
There are many options get to the Kanto Lampo Waterfall from a drive scooter by your self, hiring a car with driver, taxi, or do organized Bali tour.
As mentioned earlier this waterfall found in the province of Gianyar, Kanto Lampo waterfall is around a half hour drive from Ubud, just a short distance from Tibumana waterfall.
A taxi from Ubud should cost around 300,000 IDR return, or 600,000 IDR for a day trip to visit the other places of interest in the area.
Alternatively, you can rent a scooter/bike for around 80,000 IDR and drive yourself.
To get to Kanto Lampo waterfall from Kuta or Seminyak, expect the drive to take at least an hour.
Taxis from Kuta or Seminyak are likely to cost more, and as it’s further away we’d only recommend visiting if you plan to hire a car for a full day and visit other spots too.
You should be able to find a taxi for around 700,000 IDR, but if you negotiate well you may get a better price. Renting a scooter/bike should cost around 80,000 IDR for a day.
For those of you that choose to rent a scooter/bike, make sure you are aware of the risks. If you don’t have a valid license and get into an accident, your travel insurance will be invalidated.
Although taxis cost more, it’s worth spending the extra money if you don’t feel confident on a bike/scooter.
Once you park, it’s an easy route to the waterfall. Just follow the stairs all the way down which takes about 5-10 minutes.
The entire pathway leading to the fall is gorgeous – there are vines creeping down the cliffs, the sound of water crashing in the distance, and colorful butterflies flying around you. It’s magical.
When you reach the waterfall, you need to get into the water to get the best view. You can leave your belongings on the rocks beside the waterfall to keep them dry.
Kanto Lampo Waterfall Entrance Fee
Being considered a tourist attraction spot, the Kanto Lampo Waterfall is subject to entrance fee.
The entrance fee is 10,000 Rupiah (IDR) per person, and tickets can be purchased at the ticket counter in the parking area in front of the waterfall entrance.
As mentioned earlier the waterfall easily assessable, down a short flight of stairs, which lead to a pleasing shallow river canyon bordered with jungle trees and overhanging vines.
The pile of flat jagged rocks where the waterfall is supposed to be is unusually at the side of the river, not along the river course and looks as though it’s been caused by a landslide.

The Kanto Lampo Waterfall is best visited in the dry season between the months of April and September.
The water levels remain high in the monsoon season but the higher water levels may make it difficult to reach the waterfall. And for timings it will be wise to go there in daylight hours

5 Tips For Visiting Kanto Lampo Waterfall
Although Kanto Lampo isn't as well known as spots, here is some tips that should know before you get there:
1. Bring a swimsuit
For the best view of Kanto Lampo you’ll need to get into the river, so make sure to wear a swimsuit!. This will double up as a good photo opportunity on the beautiful rocks at the base of the waterfall.
2. Be careful
Make sure to be careful and take your time if you climb onto the rocks, as they can be quite slippery. It’s a nice spot for a photo but it’s not worth getting injured for!
Any shoes are good to wear for getting to the waterfall itself. It’s easier to climb onto the rocks if you go barefoot or bring water shoes.
There are locals in the area on hand to help with anything you need – whether it’s getting down to the falls or taking photographs. Tips aren’t mandatory but if a local does help you out by taking photos then it’s common courtesy to give a small amount of money in return.
Maps are required because this isn’t one of the most famous waterfalls around. So, not all taxi drivers will be knowing the route here.
